When we held the first CYT Revival in 2023, God was very clear it wasn’t to be another retreat—it was to be a revival. Take a moment to consider how a revival is different from a retreat. What is the purpose of revival in a believer’s life?
Let’s look at a couple of scriptures about revival…
Will You not revive us and bring us to life again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Psalm 85:6 AMP
For the highest God above, who is and always will be, the only One who is holy has this to say: “I live in the high and holy place, yet I am with the low, the weak, and the humble. I renew their vitality and revive their strength.” Isaiah 57:15 Voice
I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help [revive] us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy. Habakkuk 3:2 NLT
In its third year, CYT Revival will be offered again in March 2025, and we would love for you to consider joining us! As you commit this matter to prayer, you might want to consider the purpose of revival. From a biblical standpoint, revival brings us to life again; brings refreshment to our dry bones; renews our vitality and strength; and gives us reason to rejoice.
At CYT Revival we seek God together and look for deep refreshment (that only he can provide) through prayer, worship, study, fellowship, service, and community. We offer:
- Morning and evening yoga practices in a variety of styles
- Times of worship through singing, embodied prayer, and experiential practices
- Study and meditation of scripture through sunrise meditation, yoga practice, Bible-based sessions, and our exclusive CYT Revival prayer journal
- Sessions to improve and revive your ministry, teaching and knowledge base as a Christ-centered yoga teacher
- Free time to build community with others or spend time in creation with God
- Times of fellowship over meals, break-out sessions, and free time to network and build deeper connections with others
- Delicious food prepared with love and clean, healthy eating in mind
Note that all scheduled offerings are optional. That means you get to seek God and ask him which activities he has for you – which ones will revive and bring refreshment to your soul (and which ones will not).
At CYT we recognize all the ways you serve and give to others – your family, friends, students, co-workers, community, and church. God wants to not only call and equip you for these works, he wants to fill you to overflowing in order to accomplish his good and perfect will through the works to which he has called you. So many of you give of yourself and your gifts so freely – and this is a beautiful thing. But we all know we cannot pour from an empty cup. We need God to refill, renew, and refresh us over and over to empower us to his good and faithful work done in and through us.
